Harlem Link Charter School is housed within the John Mercer Langston and Alain Locke complex, a set of tandem New York City Department of Education buildings located at 20 W 112th St. and 21 W 111th St. in New York City. The buildings are located between Malcolm X Blvd. (Lenox Ave.) and 5th Avenue.
Via Public Transportation
The closest subway line to the school is the 2/3 line, with a stop located at 110th St. and Lenox Ave. The school is also accessible via the B/C trains at 110th St. and Central Park West, which is three avenues west of the school. The 6 train is available three avenues east of the school on 110th St. and Lexington Ave.
The school is also served by the M1, M2, M3 and M4 bus lines.
Via Automobile
West 112th Street is a one-way street heading east. Lenox Avenue is two-way, and Fifth Avenue is one-way heading south. Therefore, the following approaches are advised:
- From the West Side Highway: take the 125th Street exit, head east on West 125th Street and turn right on any avenue on Morningside Avenue, Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard (7th Avenue) or Malcolm X Boulevard (Lenox Avenue). Make a left onto West 112th Street.
- From the Harlem River Drive (points north): take the 155th Street exit and make a left at or on the ramp prior to West 155th Street, emerging onto Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard (7th Avenue). Take Adam Clayton Powell Boulevard to West 112th Street and make a left.
- From the FDR Drive (points south): take the 96th Street exit and make a left at East 96th Street. Turn right on 1st Avenue, 3rd Avenue, Park Avenue or Madison Avenue. Turn left on East 111th Street and continue to Malcolm X Boulevard (Lenox Avenue). Turn right and make the next right onto West 112th Street.
If on-street parking is unavailable, a parking garage is located adjacent to the Locke side entrance to the tandem complex on West 111th Street.
